Being a space enthusiast with interest in open-source contributions, I found Open Astronomy a best place for me to contribute.

Welcome to OpenAstronomy!
As OpenAstronomy is an umbrella organization, you will have to look over the list of members and decide what project interests you and then from there, communicate with those people over GitHub or their preferred information channels.
This information is kept here: Members I am unsure how to update it is but hopefully it is.
