Introduction and GSOC 2025 Contributor

Hi everyone! I’m Rayyan, a full-stack developer with experience in MERN, .NET, Java, Python, Flutter, and Firebase. I have a strong background in data structures, algorithms, ML, AI, and cloud computing, with hands-on experience in Azure and AWS.

I’m excited to contribute to OpenAstronomy as a GSoC 2025 contributor and explore its open-source projects in astronomy, astrophysics, and data analysis. Could you guide me on how to start contributing? Is there a mentor or channel where I can ask questions and collaborate?

Looking forward to learning and working with you all!

Hello @KhanRayyan3622

Welcome to OA! I’d recommend you start reading our contributor guide and the links on our GSoC page. Then notice that OA is an umbrella org, so we don’t have much where to contribute, but you can browse through our members and their respective dev guides and channels. most of them have labelled first-good-issues. Ask here or on their channels if you get stuck on the way.
