2021 CoCo Election: Kelle Cruz

It would be my honor to continue to serve on the Coordination Committee of the Astropy Project. I have been involved in the Project for eight years and have been active in several areas, including education, tutorials, and workshops; external fundraising; and on the Finance Committee. I am passionate about improving the sustainability of the Project. In particular, I work to cultivate and expand the user base by providing educational materials and support communities for new users. I am also dedicated to identifying mechanisms to support and retain existing maintainers. I am eager to be a part of developing this new and innovative model of software development and will continue to be a dedicated advocate for the Project and the scientific open source software ecosystem in the broader scientific community.
