I’m James R Lee, and I’m a software engineer in Indonesia!
While my professional background is in software development, I have always had a fascination towards the stars and astronomy. I also believe in the power of open-source software to help accelerate scientific discovery, and I am incredibly excited about the work being done here!
Recently, I’ve been diving into the JuliaAstro community and contributing to SpectralFitting.jl. For GSoC this year, I am very interested in contributing to Spectra.jl, specifically focusing on porting and expanding its X-ray capabilities.
