I am honoured to be nominated for the Coordination Committee.
My involvement with Astropy started with writing the MAST module in Astroquery and grew from there. For a number of years I was an Astroquery maintainer, and I am now Learn coordinator, in addition to serving on the current Coordination Committee. As a member of the CoCo, I have endeavored to prioritize timely communication with the Astropy community, to help the organization run smoothly (primarily by documenting and regularizing the election process), and to work to ensure that problems and questions don’t fall through the cracks. I will continue to do all of these things if reelected. Additionally, in a CoCo made up primarily of first-term members, I offer continuity, and will use my experience as a longer-serving member of the CoCo to preserve institutional knowledge and keep our processes running smoothly.
