I would like to draw your attention to the AHEAD 2020 program that funds research visits to participating European institutes. During a visit you can learn about data analysis methods in the field of high-energy astrophysics. The program is primarily focused on European researchers, but there is some room to fund proposals from outside Europe as well.

This visiting program provides the opportunity to learn about HEA data analysis tools directly from the developers. For example, one of the participating institutes is SRON, where the SPEX spectral fitting code is developed.
The deadline for proposals in this round is August 31st 2022.
