Hi everyone!

I’m a software engineer, working primarily on Linux-based infrastructure, automation, and system software development. I recently developed a very strong interest in spacetech, and that has brought me here.

I’m interested in contributing to open-source astronomy and space science software, and I’m hoping to get involved with the community, potentially working toward GSoC 2027.

Would anyone be able to point me toward active projects, beginner-friendly issues, or maintainers working in these areas?

I’m happy to spend time understanding the codebase, learning the relevant concepts, and contributing consistently.

Thanks in advance!
