Laura has nominated herself to stand in the steering committee election, here is her statement:

I would be very happy to continue to serve on the SunPy Steering Committee for another term and contributing to the project’s direction and development. As a solar physicist and active SunPy user, I bring a research perspective and a commitment to open-source software. I’m keep over the next while to fnd more european funding for the ongoing efforts of the project
