I’d be honored to serve on the SunPy Steering Committee. I’ve been contributing to SunPy for over a decade, and most will know me as the `sunpy.coordinates` maintainer or through my fielding of questions related to WCS (World Coordinate System). I’m also the lead of SunPy’s ongoing funding from NASA, and I have previously served as a member of the SunPy Board and – for a brief stint – as the lead developer.

As a member of the Steering Committee, my emphasis will be on the (code) health of the SunPy ecosystem, which includes continuing to obtain funding for SunPy-associated development and leveraging/improving `astropy` or other packages that SunPy depends on.
